A Review : Clinique Lash Power Mascara and Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
As to my previous blogs, I went to a Clinique Party, held at Rustan's Makati last June 18. And by attending the event, participants/attendees got the chance to get free samples from Clinique.
1. Youth Surge Night
2. Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
3. Lash Power Mascara
4. Repairwear Intensive Eye cream
Given the chance of getting this great product samples I commit myself of doing a review and promised Charles of wickeRmoss that I will be reviewing the products of Clinique and blogging and vlogging about it.
(Clinique and wickeRmoss did not forced me to do this review nor paid me, I voluntarily and whole heartedly did this review and all opinions are mine and nobody influence me in anyway.)
For the meantime, I will only be reviewing the Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss and Lash Power Mascara as I have already gotten ample time to make a review for these as I have been using the mascara and lipgloss for more than a week now. As for the Youth Surge Night and Repairwear Intensive Eye cream, I will be doing a review for these products after two (2) or more weeks of use.
So going to the review!
My opinion :
Likes!
1. It is very shiny on the lips when applied.
2. Very hydrating/moisturizing.
3. I love the fact that it is a BALM and a GLOSS at the same time.
4. A little goes a long way.
5. Hydrates/Moisturize your lips for long hours.
6. Not sticky or heavy on the lips.
7. Leaves your lips smooth and supple.
Dislikes!
1. A bit pricey for a gloss or a balm.
2. Clinique in general is not widely available, so for someone like me who lives in the province, it is hard to purchase.
Would I purchase this product? YES, despite the price, the product is well worth it!
Would I recommend it? Definitely for those who can afford and near to a Clinique booth or counter.
I got some great products in my loot bag.
Free Samples :1. Youth Surge Night
2. Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
3. Lash Power Mascara
4. Repairwear Intensive Eye cream

From Clinique site :

- Coverage: Sheer
- Benefits: Moisturizing

All in all I LOVE this product!
Without Superbalm
With Superbalm
From Clinique site :
Mascara with staying power. Vows to look pretty for 24 hours without a smudge or smear. Lasts through rain, sweat, humidity, tears. Yet the formula removes easily with warm water. Unique brush reaches and beautifully lengthens even the tiniest lashes. Ophthalmologist Tested.
- Benefits: Long Wearing
Price ( Full size ) : Php 1,400.00*
My opinion :
Likes!
1. Flatters your lashes.
2. Easy to apply.
3. Does not clump however or how many coats you apply.
4. Reaches the tiniest lashes, even my not-so visible bottom lashes.
5. Long wearing, last the whole day!
6. Smudge and smear proof.
7.Defines and volumizes my lashes.
8. Easily removes with warm-water. NO NEED for make-up remover! its GREAT!
Dislike!
1. A bit pricey, but doable for those who can buy.
2. Formula dries a bit slow, so if you are not careful it will transfer to your eyelids or under eye.
3. I don't see any big of a difference in length. ;P
Would I purchase this product? I think so :D, despite the price, the product is very promising and a must-have!
Would I recommend it? Only for those who can afford and near to a Clinique booth or counter.
All in all, I also LOVE this product. Among-st all the mascaras I have tried, this works for me best!
Without Lash Power Marcara
Can you even see my bottom lashes? It's invisible! :P
With Lash Power Mascara
Look how my bottom lashes are now seen. ALAS!
So how about you? What brand is your lipgloss or mascara? Have you drop by a Clinique Counter/Booth to try out this great products?! So what are you waiting for? Try it for yourself and be the judge.. :)
*Disclaimer:
Clinique gave out these products as a free sample- this blog is not sponsored by Clinique. All opinion are mine and nobody influenced my assessment.

Why I should be the : wickeRmoss search for Miss Clinique.
As sort of Saga to my Clinique experience and blogs, wickeRmoss just posted a Search for Miss Clinique especially for her attendees ( isn't that the sweetest thing ever? ). But don't worry if you're not, this is only a part of her giveaway and as she mention on her blog search, non-attendees can also join, so watch out for the 2nd part! Exciting?! She just love surprising everybody, well at least her friends and new friends :) (she refer her readers as her friends ;) )
So here are her rules which I copied on her blog.
So my answer to Rule #2 as to why should I be chosen wickeRmoss Search for Miss Clinique is very easy,,,, my answer : WHY NOT?!?
- I know that having been acquainted with all the lovely, gorgeous and sweet vloggers and bloggers at the party, I consider myself lucky already. But then again, who wouldn't want to be the Miss Clinique? Huh? Right? So I don't wanna brag about it, but wickeRmoss asked for it, so here it goes.
First reason :
The Clinique Party hosted by wickeRmoss got me into blogging which made my Clinique blog a 3 series blog :) And now I am a happy blogger because of it. ( Blaming all to wickeRmoss,LOL just kidding!) Anyways I am a very satisfied user of Clinique's Antri-gravity fiming eye-lift cream, which is sadly not available in the Philippines :( So, I was so dedicated and firmed I am going to test their other products by going to the event!
Second reason :
Just to go to the event I had to travel from Central Luzon to Manila, and mind you it was in Makati :) Getting the picture?
Third reason :
Travelling by so far, "the husband" and I had to wake up so early, we had to leave 6:00am to get on time for the event. ( Oh, by the way, "the husband" came from work grave yard shift so technically he didn't woke up, he had no sleep yet at the time ..So supportive, I know! I'm lucky! LOL)
Forth reason :
With that being said, can you believe I was the one who arrived the earliest! YUP YUP YUP guys, I am excited to the max!!!
As I recalled Charles told me, I was an "Early bird", and truly I was.
And to add it up, I had the first Clinique Blog amongst the anttendees ;)
Fifth Reason :
I enjoyed my experience the most, there was no regret at all to why I had come to the event. I learned a lot on the "skin consultation 101"... ENJOYING is always the KEY to success! So for me it was successful cause I enjoyed.. ;)
Thanks for reading! ;) Til next!
So here are her rules which I copied on her blog.
To the Clinique attendees:
1. If you have blogged about your experience, comment below with your link. Appreciate if you could provide me the date and time of publishing.
2. Tell me why you should be chosen as the wickeRmoss Miss Clinique. Do not give me humbled answers... I want fierce ones. Your self-confidence might be your weapon to win this awesome loot.
3. Again, I will check if you are a GFC & Twitter follower / facebook page liker.
Kindly note that this will only comprise 50% of this search.
So you are not one of the attendees? I have something in store for you as well. I will also pick another winner for the part ii , in which the details I will be posting on the upcoming days.
